Celebrate UNESCO’s 2015 Year of Light, northern New Mexico Style, with ‘Luz es Vida,’ an evening of all that light can mean:
Rinconada Trail Hike, Wild Rivers 4:30 p.m., 2 hours Meet at the Wild Rivers Visitor Center for this easy 2½ mile hike that explores the meaning of ‘light is life’ along the Rinconada Trail to the Chawalauna Overlook. The hike will feature a geologist, archaeologist, and wildlife biologist exploring how light affects life in the Río Grande del Norte.
Pechakucha – Wild Rivers Amphitheater 8:30 p.m., 1½ hours 20 slides X 20 seconds each, with nine storytellers giving a unique take on the theme of light. Tickets are limited, and are $10 each.
